Sealing gasket of performance
Nov 03, 2021
Each type of gasket has different uses in industry. Understand several common sealing gaskets. The performance of sealing gaskets is mainly manifested in the following aspects:
1. Rubber flat gasket: Easy to deform, no effort when pressing, but pressure and temperature resistance are poor, only used in low pressure, low temperature low pressure, low temperature. Artificial rubber has a certain acid and alkali resistance, the use temperature should not exceed 60 ℃; Neoprene rubber can also withstand certain acids and alkalis, the use temperature is 80 ℃; Nitrile rubber oil resistance, can be used to 80 ℃; Fluorine rubber corrosion resistance is very good, temperature resistance is also stronger than individual rubber, can be used in 150 ℃ medium.
2. Rubber O-shaped gasket: The cross-sectional shape is a regular circle, which has a certain self-tightening effect. The sealing result is better than the flat washer, and the pressing force is smaller.
3. Plastic flat washers: The biggest feature of plastic is good corrosion resistance, and most plastics have poor temperature resistance. PTFE is the crown of plastic, but the corrosion resistance is excellent, and the scope of temperature resistance is relatively broad, can be in-180 ℃ ~ +200 ℃ within long-term use.
4. PTFE gasket: In order to fully carry forward the advantages of PTFE and compensate for its poor elasticity, it is made into PTFE wrapped rubber or asbestos rubber gasket.
