Material Characteristics of Rubber Sealing Rings

Dec 15, 2025

Rubber sealing rings can be installed in various machines, mobile phones, watches, lighters, automotive parts, and other equipment. They provide a sealing function under specified temperature and pressure conditions, and in different liquids and gases, whether stationary or in motion.

Rubber Sealing Ring Material Analysis:
1. Fluororubber: High temperature resistant, usable in environments from -30℃ to +250℃. Resistant to strong oxidants, oils, acids, and alkalis. Commonly used in high-temperature, high-vacuum, and high-pressure environments, suitable for oily environments. Due to its various excellent properties, fluororubber is widely used in petroleum, chemical, aviation, and aerospace industries.

2. Silicone Rubber: Excellent high and low temperature resistance, maintaining good elasticity within a temperature range of -70℃ to +260℃. It also has advantages such as ozone resistance and weather aging resistance, making it suitable as sealing gaskets in thermal machinery. Because it is non-toxic, it can be used to make heat insulation, electrical insulation products, and medical rubber products.

3. Nitrile rubber: Excellent resistance to oil and aromatic solvents, but not resistant to ketones, esters, and chlorinated media. Therefore, nitrile rubber is primarily used in oil-resistant sealing products.

4. Chloroprene rubber: Good resistance to oil, solvents, and chemical media, but not resistant to aromatic oils. Its characteristics include excellent weathering and ozone aging resistance. In production, chloroprene rubber is commonly used to make door and window sealing strips, diaphragms, and general vacuum sealing products.

5. Ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM): Good resistance to temperature, weathering, and ozone aging. It is most widely used in door and window sealing strips and the automotive industry.

6. Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) composite gaskets are a new type of sealing material made from PTFE and high-quality synthetic rubber using a special manufacturing process. It combines the excellent properties of both PTFE and rubber, giving the product excellent corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, non-toxicity, non-stick properties, and good elasticity and sealing performance.

We can customize rubber sealing rings according to customers' different material requirements and special application requirements, so as to give full play to the optimal characteristics of the rubber sealing rings and achieve the best sealing effect.
