Storage guidelines

The seal is often used as spare parts to be stored for a long time. Under the influence by such as: distorted, oxygen, ozone, light, heat, moisture, oil or solvent, the O-ring may be because of their physical and chemical properties of change failure. DIN7716, ISO2230, DIN9088 standard rubber seal size, clean and maintain the basic rules. According to the type of material, these standards are given the provisions of the storage conditions and storage period recommended values.

In order to maintain the physical and chemical properties of the elastomer, please follow these storage rules, these principles in order to maintain one of the most appropriate storage conditions:

◆ Temperature: 5 ℃ to 25 ℃ is the ideal storage temperature. Avoid contact with heat and sunlight. Removed from cryogenic storage state seal, first place for some time before 20 ℃ environment.

◆ Humidity: relative humidity of the warehouse should be below 70%, to avoid too wet or too dry, not condensation.

◆ light: To avoid the sunlight and strong artificial light with UV. UV protection bags offer the best protection. Painted red or orange paint or stick sunscreen film on the windows of the proposed warehouse.

◆ radiation: To avoid ionizing radiation damage to the seals.

◆ oxygen and ozone: rubber material should avoid exposure to the air circulation flow. Through packaging, wrapping and store in an airtight container or other suitable means to achieve that purpose. Ozone harmful, many elastomer storage room to avoid the following equipment: mercury vapor lamp, high voltage electrical equipment, motors, will produce sparks or static electricity equipment.

◆ deformation: the elastomer material should be placed in a free state, to avoid being affected by stretching, compression or other deformation. If the original packaging elastomer is in the non-deformed state, you should try to use the original packaging.

Contact with the liquid or semi-solid materials: rubber seals shall not be exposure to solvents, grease, or other semi-solid material (unless the manufacturers original packaging so).

Contact with metal or nonmetallic materials: Do not allow contact with magnetic materials, cast iron, copper and alloys containing those materials that can damage the rubber. PVC material can not be used to package seals. Seals of different materials shall not be mixed together.

◆ Clean: as needed, you can use soap and water to clean the seals. Water but not allowed to contact fiber-reinforced seals, rubber metal bonded seals, AU parts. Disinfectants, organic solvents, and the sharp edges of tools are not allowed to use. After cleaning the seals should be dried at room temperature, not near a heat source.
